Key Return Process

To ensure your keys are returned correctly and that you're not charged for missing key(s), please follow the steps below. 

đź“© How to Return Your Keys 

  • There are only two places to return your keys: either to your RA or the After Hours drop box by the Campus Store CafĂ© near the stairs to the Trinity Commons.​​​​​​  If the key(s) are returned to another person or place, they may go missing and be charged.

  • Return your keys to your RA in the original envelope provided at check‑in and fill out the envelope with your name, ID#, and key code(s) stamped on the key(s).

  • If you no longer have your original envelope, new envelopes are available in your building's lounge or the After Hours drop box

🏢 Building‑Specific Information 

  • Jacobson and Skidmore residents: Each resident is issued two keys. Please ensure both keys are returned. 

⚠️ Important Reminders 

  • Do not place the Student Leader key(s) in the same envelope as your housing keys. Student leader keys get dropped off at the Student Life Service Hub front desk.

  • If you are leaving campus after office hours, please drop off your key(s) in the After Hours drop box by the Campus Store CafĂ© near the stairs to the Trinity Commons.

  • Keys not returned after leaving campus are charged a missing key fee of $50/key, and if returned within one month of departure, the charge is reduced by $25/key.
