The Menus page in Wordpress

  1. On the left side of the menu editor, you'll see available items to add (pages, posts, etc.).

  2. Select items that you'd like to add, and click Add to Menu.

  3. Arrange menu items by dragging and dropping. Indented items will appear as sub-menu items.

  4. Click "Save Menu" to apply your changes.

Best Practices

  • Keep menu titles short to avoid overcrowding the menu bar.

  • Limit the number of top-level menu items:

  • Aim for about 4 items across the top menu.

  • Use dropdown menus for additional items.

  • Avoid having too many items, which can lead to a "+" button appearing and potentially hiding menu items.

  • Organize your menu logically to help users navigate your site easily.

  • Regularly review and update your menu structure as your site grows.
