Introduction / Description

This article will describe how to set up the Teams Voicemail Message and Call Forwarding in Teams.

Setting up Teams Voicemail

All Teams Phone Voicemails will be sent to your email. In order to set up the Voicemail message, please follow the instructions below.

1. Go to Settings in Teams (click on the ... on the top Right, then Settings)
   
   
    
2. Go to Calls > Manage voicemails
   
   
    
3. You will be given multiple options, including the ability:
    
   •  To record a Custom Voicemail Greeting by clicking Record a Greeting and following the prompts​​
     • I would recommend having a good quality headset/microphone for best results
   • You can choose to change the Language
   • You can choose what you want to happen when the call is redirected to voicemail. Generally, the Let the caller record a message is the best option. But choose as you see fit.
     
     
      
   • Lastly, you can Set up a text-to-speech customized greeting. An example voicemail greeting could be:  “Hi, this is [Name]. Please leave a message, and I’ll get back to you shortly.”
     
     
      
4. Once you have Set up Your Voicemail to your preference, exit out of settings.

Setting up Call Forwarding

If you need your calls forwarded to another number or a Voicemail, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to Settings in Teams (click on the ... on the top Right, then Settings)
   
   
    
2. Go to Calls > Calls Handling and Forwarding enable the Forward All Calls options
   
   
    
3. Once you have, you have the option to Forward all Incoming calls to your Voicemail, or to a different number.
   
   
    
4. Choose whichever, suits your needs best and exit settings

There are many other settings that you can update in Call Forwarding and Handling, depending on your need. These include:

• What When you receive a call, you can set it up to also ring another person or number
• What happens when you can't answer the phone
• How long you want the phone to ring before going to Voicemail
• As well as the ring tone
