Why we ask for all three
Your resume and cover letter tell us who you are, but the job description tells us what you're aiming for. Seeing all three together lets us give feedback that's specific to this role, not just generic advice about your documents.
Why tailoring matters
Employers often sift through a lot of applications, and the ones that stand out are the ones that clearly speak to the role. Tailoring means highlighting the experiences and skills that match what the employer is looking for, using their language, and showing why you're a great fit for this particular position. A resume and cover letter that could be sent to any employer rarely land as well as ones written with a specific job in mind.
