This article explains how students, staff, and faculty can access their TWU email on a phone, tablet, or computer using the Microsoft Outlook app.

For the best experience and security, TWU recommends using Microsoft Outlook instead of the built-in mail app on your device. When signing in, you will need to use your TWU account and complete multi-factor authentication.

Instructions

Step 1: Install Microsoft Outlook

  1. Install the Microsoft Outlook app on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. On mobile devices, Outlook is available from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  3. On TWU-managed computers, Outlook may already be installed as part of Microsoft 365.

Step 2: Open Outlook and add your TWU account

  1. Open the Microsoft Outlook app.
  2. Select the option to Add Account or Sign In.
  3. Enter your TWU email address.

Use your full TWU email address when signing in.

Step 3: Sign in and complete multi-factor authentication

  1. Enter your TWU password when prompted.
  2. Complete the multi-factor authentication prompt using your approved MFA method.
  3. Follow any remaining prompts to finish adding your account.

Step 4: Confirm your email is syncing

  1. After setup is complete, Outlook should begin loading your TWU mailbox.
  2. Confirm that you can see your Inbox and recent messages.
  3. You may also choose to allow notifications, calendar access, or contact access if prompted.
