How You Are Assigned Your Housing Placement

We encourage you to complete the roommate selection and room selection process if possible. There are NO change requests until 1 week AFTER move in.

If you choose not to select a roommate / room using the process, or are unable to, we will do our best to match you with a roommate that is similar to you. We match according to age and preferences. Please ensure that the profile section of your housing application is an accurate reflection of yourself. Requests for specific floors, rooms, or roommates are considered, but not guaranteed.

How to See Your Housing Placement

Once you are placed or after you've finalized your roommate and room selection, you should see your Housing Placement (Roommate and Building) in your Campus Portal on the Housing Checklist.

If you are manually placed by Housing, your placement will still show up on the Housing Checklist, but as soon as you have been placed - you will also receive an email from Housing with where you have been placed.

We have attached building floor maps to show where your room is situated in comparison to the others rooms in the buildings.

Special Accommodation

If you have any special consideration(s) for request, please complete the Housing Special Accommodation Request Form. These considerations may be, but are not limited to, medical, psychological/emotional, or cognitive issues and/or lifestyle, cultural, or religious considerations. Some requests may require additional documentation. In order to properly address special requests, the Housing Placement Team will work together with Student Life and the Centre for Accessibility Services to ensure you are placed in a proper space.

Note: We will try our best to fulfill your request but we are not in a position to make guarantees.

Change Requests

Room Change Requests will only be accepted 1 week AFTER move in and MUST be approved by your Resident Director. Please review our Room Change Request Article
