Information regarding your Non Refundable Housing Deposit (Pre-Payment)

What is the Housing Pre-payment?

The housing pre-payment (deposit) is used to confirm your housing offer acceptance. You will not get the money back. This is a non-refundable installment payment that will be put toward your total Housing cost.

If you are offered housing at TWU, there will be 2 steps to confirm and accept your offer.

How much is the Housing Pre-payment and When do I pay it?

A Non-Refundable prepayment deposit of $500 CAD must be received as confirmation of acceptance of your TWU housing offer. You need to pay your Housing Prepayment as soon as you accept your housing offer.

Once you click on "Accept" the system will automatically direct you to the TWU Shopping Cart where you will be required to make a $500 prepayment via Credit Card. Once you make your payment please wait until the system brings you back to the Campus Portal to complete the remaining steps of accepting your offer.

If the prepayment is not paid within 1 week*, you will forfeit your offer. Your application will be withdrawn.

*If the applied semester has started or you are within 1 month of your start date, you may have less than 1 week to confirm your housing offer due to the accelerated application process.

I see housing charges on my account - does that mean I've accepted my offer?

When an offer is sent through the student portal, the charges are added to your student account. This does not mean you have accepted your offer.

To accept your offer you MUST complete the following steps regardless of if you see the charges in your student statement.

  1. Accept your offer in the Student Portal
  2. Pay the $500 Housing Pre-payment

If you don't complete the 2 steps of accepting your offer, it will expire within 7 days and the charges will be removed.
