If you want to know the important deadlines for the Housing Process, you are in the right place.

Spring 2025

Spring Housing application opens

November 1

To get ready to apply be sure to:

Be an admitted TWU student.
Register for courses for the Academic year you are applying for Housing.
No Holds on your account.
If you are a current student and you know who you would like to share your space with, please make sure to know the email of your preferred roommate, you will use it in your Housing application.

Priority application deadline

November 11

Apply for Housing before November 11 to reserve the current spot to stay in the same room for the Spring semester.

Students who applied before this deadline will receive an email confirmation on November 12 that their spot has been reserved.

Housing Offer Reveal

December 1

Go to your Student Portal to view your Housing Offer.

You have ONE WEEK :

- to Accept your offer

AND

- to pay your prepayment deposit (choose the option)

If you applied after December 1, you need to check the Student Portal every Monday to accept the offer and confirm with the deposit.

IMPORTANT: If you do not respond during ONE WEEK, your application will be withdrawn from the process, you will lose your priority status.

If you do not like your placement but are still interested in staying on campus, please ignore i the offer (it will be expired after 7 days) and request a change by filing a ticket with the Service Hub

If you decline your Housing Offer, your application will be withdrawn from the Housing process and you will lose your priority status.

If you decline your Housing Offer in error or were unable to respond in time and still would like to be in Housing, please file a ticket with the Service Hub

You must confirm your Offer within 1 week, via the Student Portal and making a Housing deposit to secure your offer.

You have 3 options to pay for the Housing Deposit:

Direct charge to your Student Account. Please, make sure to have equal or more than $500 in your account, for the system to accept this type of payment
Credit card. You can use a Domestic Credit Card to pay for the Housing Deposit. If you have any issues with this type of payment please contact the Service Hub
Flywire. A secure way to make and track your international payments. Please make sure you select "Housing Deposit" when making a payment.

Pick up your Spring Housing key(s) from the place indicated in the chart above
Complete the Room Condition Report
Move in!

* If you were planning to arrive earlier than the dates indicated in the chart, you will need to find housing off campus until the date indicated in the above chart.

Housing Application (FALL, SPRING & SUMMER) Opens

March 1^st

To get ready to apply be sure to:

Be admitted to TWU as a current student.
Register for courses for the Academic year you are applying for Housing. Only Summer housing doesn't need course registration.
No Holds on your account.
If you are a current student and you know who you would like to share your space with, please make sure to know the email of your preferred roommates, you will use them in your Housing application.

Priority application deadline

March 15^th

To make sure you are part of the Priority Students to receive a lottery number:

Apply for Housing before March 15^th

Students who applied after this deadline will receive an offer as accommodations become available.

Lottery Reveal

March 16^th

Go to your Student Portal to view your Lottery number.

Housing Offer Reveal

April 2nd

Go to your Student Portal to view your Housing Offer.

You will also receive an email with your Housing offer (make sure to check your @mytwu.ca email)

You have ONE WEEK to Accept your offer.

If you did not get into an apartment and had a “Dorm” as your second option in your Housing application, you will be offered a Dorm as available, please check the Important dates for the “Dorms” process in the second section of this article.

Accept your Housing Offer & Pay your Housing Deposit deadline

Due within 7 days of your offer

Please make sure to accept your Housing Offer before the deadline to ensure you retain your offer. The deadline to accept your offer will be posted on your Housing Checklist in the Student Portal.

IMPORTANT: If you do not respond before the deadline, your application will be withdrawn from the process, you will lose your priority status.

If you do not like your placement but are still interested in staying on campus, please accept the offer and request a change by filing a ticket with the Service Hub

If you reject your Housing Offer, your application will be withdrawn from the Housing process and you will lose your priority status.

If you reject your Housing Offer in error or were unable to respond in time and still would like to be in Housing, please file a ticket with the Service Hub

Change request window

By August 1^st

If you need to request a change of your Housing Offer, you can request one here.

IMPORTANT: No changes can be made before you accept your Housing Offer.

If you missed this window, wait until the second change window opens 1 week after move in day, until 3 days before ADD/DROP date. You will have to contact your Resident Director to request a change during this period.

Dorm Priority application deadline

May 15^th

To make sure you are part of the Priority Students to be placed in dorms:

Apply for Housing before May 15^th

Students who applied after this deadline will receive an offer as accommodations become available.

Housing Offer Reveal

June 12^th

Go to your Student Portal to view your Housing Offer.

You have ONE WEEK :

- to Accept your offer

AND

- to pay your prepayment deposit (chose the option)

If you applied after June 12, you need to check the Student Portal every Monday to accept the offer and confirm with the deposit.

Change request window

If you need to request a change of your Housing Offer, you can send a ticket request by August 1

IMPORTANT: No changes can be made before you accept your Housing Offer.

If you missed this window, wait until the second window opens from the First day of classes and closes at the end of the first week of classes.

You will have to contact your Resident Director to request a change during this period.
